Rose

Rose is one of three bonded Nigerian Dwarf goats who arrived after narrowly escaping an uncertain future. After their previous caregiver experienced incredibly difficult circumstances, the trio was surrendered to a farm in Tennessee. Already struggling with severe anemia, Barber Pole worms, and Coccidia, their chances of finding safety were growing smaller by the day, and they were at risk of ending up at the sale barn.

But Rose’s story didn’t end there.

When she arrived at the sanctuary, Rose was exhausted and in need of intensive care, treatment, and time to heal. Through careful medical treatment, isolation, proper nutrition, and endless compassion, she slowly began to regain her strength. As the days passed, her sweet personality started to shine through more and more, showing the gentle and hopeful spirit that had been buried beneath survival mode.

Today, Rose represents exactly what rescue is all about — not just saving lives, but giving animals the chance to finally feel safe, loved, and valued. Her story is proof that even after hardship, healing is possible when compassion steps in.
