Rose’s Journey to Butterfly Valley
Rose is one of three bonded Nigerian Dwarf goats who arrived after narrowly escaping an uncertain future. After their previous caregiver experienced incredibly difficult circumstances, the trio was surrendered to a farm in Tennessee. Already struggling with severe anemia, Barber Pole worms, and Coccidia, their chances of finding safety were growing smaller by the day, and they were at risk of ending up at the sale barn.

Bio
Care That Changes
Rose arrived needing treatment and close monitoring for a heavy parasite burden, anemia, and intestinal illness. Her acute recovery care is in the past; her condition, nutrition, and overall health continue to be monitored through individualized sanctuary care.
Different is Beautiful
Today, Rose represents exactly what rescue is all about — not just saving lives, but giving animals the chance to finally feel safe, loved, and valued. Her story is proof that even after hardship, healing is possible when compassion steps in.
