Phatty
Phatty is a beloved duck whose calm, easygoing personality has made him a favorite at Butterfly Valley Rescue & Sanctuary. Originally raised from the time he hatched, Phatty was deeply loved by his previous family. As he grew, however, he became a bit too big and bossy for the rest of their flock. Wanting only the best for one of their favorite ducks, they entrusted him to the sanctuary, where he found his forever home as a companion for longtime resident Quack.
Since arriving, Phatty has become one of the sanctuary's most recognizable personalities. Curious, confident, and full of charm, he spends his days waddling through the sanctuary, supervising the daily excitement, and reminding everyone that life is meant to be enjoyed. Whether he's investigating something new, demanding attention, or simply being his wonderfully goofy self, Phatty has a way of bringing smiles wherever he goes.
Though he wasn't rescued because of a disability, Phatty perfectly represents the sanctuary's belief that every animal deserves a safe, lifelong home where they are valued for exactly who they are. With his big personality and even bigger heart, Phatty is proof that sometimes the greatest gift you can give an animal is simply a place to belong.
