Keith
Keith is one of the original residents of our sanctuary and holds a very special place in its story. Born at the sanctuary after his mother Millie was rescued while pregnant, Keith and his brother Luke became the very first goats ever born into our care. Unlike many residents who arrived after hardship, Keith has only ever known safety, love, and the comfort of sanctuary life.
Named after Keith Urban, he has always had just the right amount of entertainer energy. Whether he’s making noise for attention, showing off his model-worthy horns and two-tone beard, or soaking up the sunshine like it’s his full-time job, Keith has a way of making people smile. He is sweet, gentle, handsome, and just a little dramatic when he decides the humans should be paying attention.
Despite his confident looks and “resident goat model” status, Keith was always very much a momma’s boy. He could often be found close to Millie, resting beside her and reminding everyone that even the most majestic goats still need their mom. Keith is part of the heart of Butterfly Valley — funny, familiar, deeply loved, and woven into the sanctuary’s beginning.
