Hannah

Hannah is a rescued mini pig whose story is one of survival, resilience, and transformation. Before arriving at the sanctuary Hannah endured severe neglect and had already been repeatedly bred before even reaching two years old. Rescued through Chicagoland Pig Rescue, she made the long 700-mile journey from Northern Michigan to Kentucky in search of safety and a better life.

Shortly after arriving at the sanctuary, Hannah gave birth to nine piglets, including Bliss, who still lives alongside her today. Despite everything she had been through, Hannah proved to be an incredibly loving and devoted mother.

Today, Hannah spends her days doing all the things pigs deserve to do — exploring the outdoors, soaking up belly rubs, relaxing safely with her family, and simply being loved for who she is instead of what she could produce. She’s not just a rescue story; she’s a reminder that healing is possible when compassion finally replaces neglect.
