Frack
Pekin
Duck
Frack is a loud, playful Pekin duck who was found abandoned with Frick at a Louisville workplace while both were still vulnerable ducklings. Because domestic ducks cannot safely be released to fend for themselves, the inseparable pair received the secure home, proper nutrition, and lifelong care they needed.

Frack’s Journey to Butterfly Valley
Frack is one of two domestic ducklings who arrived at Butterfly Valley Rescue & Sanctuary after being abandoned at a Louisville workplace. Employees found the ducklings alone and, believing they had likely been purchased as pets and later discarded, began contacting local organizations for help.
Understanding Their Difference
Arrived after being separated from the mother and unable to receive normal maternal care.
Bio
Care That Changes
Frack does not currently require specialized adaptive or medical support. They receives routine preventive care, safe shelter, appropriate nutrition, enrichment, and the lifelong commitment provided to every Butterfly Valley resident.
Different is Beautiful
Frack’s story is a reminder that unwanted domestic waterfowl cannot simply be released into the wild. Domestic ducks depend on human care, and when abandoned, they often need rescue to survive.
