Eve’s Journey to Butterfly Valley
Eve is our tiny “Christmas miracle”. Rescued at just five days old in late December 2022, Eve survived an unimaginable tragedy after another pig attacked her litter shortly after birth. Tragically, all of her siblings were lost, but Eve survived by hiding beneath a water trough until she was finally found and rescued. Thanks to a team effort involving Eastern Snouts Adoption and Rehoming, she safely made the journey from West Virginia to Kentucky for a chance at a new life.

Care That Changes
When Eve first arrived, she received intensive newborn support, close monitoring, and care for the bruising and trauma she had survived. She no longer requires that specialized newborn care and now receives routine preventive care and enrichment as part of sanctuary life.
