Eve

Eve is our tiny “Christmas miracle”. Rescued at just five days old in late December 2022, Eve survived an unimaginable tragedy after another pig attacked her litter shortly after birth. Tragically, all of her siblings were lost, but Eve survived by hiding beneath a water trough until she was finally found and rescued. Thanks to a team effort involving Eastern Snouts Adoption and Rehoming, she safely made the journey from West Virginia to Kentucky for a chance at a new life.

When Eve first arrived, she carried both physical bruises and emotional trauma, so she was raised indoors surrounded by constant love, comfort, and attention. Over time, the frightened little piglet transformed into one of the sanctuary’s most social, playful, and mischievous residents. Whether she’s sneaking into goat pens for surprise playdates, demanding belly rubs, tossing toys around the yard, or hosting dramatic “pool parties for one” during the summer, Eve approaches life with endless enthusiasm.

Today, Eve also helps educate the public about the truth behind the “teacup pig” myth, reminding people that healthy mini pigs continue growing for years and that no pig deserves to be discarded once they get bigger. Her story is proof that even after unimaginable loss, healing, happiness, and joy are still possible.
