Amber
Amber is one of three bonded Nigerian Dwarf goats who found safety here alongside her lifelong companions. Before arriving here, their future was heartbreakingly uncertain. After their previous caregiver faced incredibly difficult circumstances, the trio was surrendered to a farm in Tennessee while battling severe anemia, Barber Pole worms, and Coccidia. Without rescue placement, they were at risk of ending up at the sale barn.
But their story didn’t end there.
From the moment she arrived, Amber showed a quiet strength beneath her tired little body. While all three goats needed intensive care, Amber quickly revealed herself to be one of the more curious members of the trio — often watching everything going on around her with gentle, thoughtful eyes and slowly learning that humans could bring comfort instead of fear.
Day by day, with treatments, good food, rest, and lots of patience, Amber has started to blossom into the goat she was always meant to be. Her story is about healing, trust, and the incredible difference compassion can make when animals are finally given the chance to feel safe. Around here, Amber isn’t just surviving anymore — she’s finally beginning to live.
