Pride Month holds a special significance at our sanctuary, as it hits very close to home. Our family extends beyond traditional boundaries, including not only LGBTQIA+ staff members and volunteers but also our beloved intersex resident, Peanut. Peanut's presence at the sanctuary serves as a living reminder of the natural diversity that exists within all species, reinforcing our message that every individual is unique and should be celebrated for who they are. This reality inspires our ongoing efforts to advocate for understanding and acceptance for all, regardless of how they present or identify.
