Nubbins is a special-needs pigeon whose determination has transformed every small milestone into a reason to celebrate. Born with severe congenital deformities that caused the toes on both feet to curl inward, Nubbins arrived at Butterfly Valley Rescue & Sanctuary needing specialized care to stand, perch, and move comfortably. From the very beginning, it was clear that this tiny pigeon possessed an enormous fighting spirit.

Through daily foot soaks, gentle physical therapy, and adaptive care, Nubbins continually exceeded expectations. Each small improvement became a reminder that progress doesn't have to be dramatic to be meaningful. Whether relaxing in a favorite fluffy bed, watching neighborhood parades, or curling up with a good story, Nubbins embraced life with quiet contentment and unwavering resilience.
