Nimbus

Nimbus was a beloved special-needs Holland Lop rabbit whose unique appearance and incredibly gentle heart made him unforgettable. Born without ears after they were accidentally overgroomed by his mother shortly after birth, Nimbus arrived at Butterfly Valley Rescue & Sanctuary in search of specialized lifelong care. While his missing ears were mostly a cosmetic difference, they also required extra support to help regulate his body temperature and keep his ear canals healthy.

Nimbus quickly became one of the sweetest souls the sanctuary had ever known. He greeted his hooman mudder each day by pressing his tiny lips against the side of his enclosure to ask for kisses and never turned down the chance for a favorite treat. His calm, affectionate nature and adorable earless face reminded everyone that beauty comes in many forms and that different is truly beautiful.

Though his time at the sanctuary was far too short, Nimbus left an immeasurable impact on everyone who loved him. His gentle spirit, endless affection, and unwavering trust continue to inspire the sanctuary's mission to give every beautifully different animal the chance to be loved exactly as they are.
