Kiki
Kiki was a sweet special-needs Bourbon Red turkey whose gentle, curious spirit made her deeply loved at Butterfly Valley Rescue & Sanctuary. She arrived alongside her companion Tombo after being rescued with neurological struggles believed to be connected to a severe protein deficiency. With high-protein feed, careful monitoring, and the right support, Kiki began to blossom — growing stronger, steadier, and more confident with each passing day.
Kiki had a way of making ordinary moments feel special. She loved staying close during feeding time, following right underfoot, and making sure she was part of everything happening around her. Curious, trusting, and beautifully present, she reminded everyone that adaptive care is about meeting each animal exactly where they are and giving them the chance to thrive.
Though her passing came suddenly and far too soon, Kiki’s time at the sanctuary was full of safety, love, and belonging. She was different. She was beautiful. And she was so, so loved.
