George

George was one of the gentlest souls to ever call our sanctuary home. Born with a twisted pelvis, George faced challenges with walking from the very beginning, but he never let being different stop him from living with joy, curiosity, and determination. He came to the sanctuary alongside his beloved sister Stella, not because he had been mistreated, but because he needed the kind of specialized care, daily support, and understanding that would help him truly thrive.

Over time, George grew stronger, more confident, and wonderfully playful. He became a beautiful example of what “different is beautiful” means — a limited-edition goat with a goofy spirit, a tender heart, and an unstoppable way of chasing after the life he deserved. Whether he was participating in outreach, brightening social media, or simply enjoying his days at the sanctuary, George had a way of making people fall in love with him.

Tragically, George’s life was cut short in a devastating accident. His loss left an enormous hole in the heart of the sanctuary. George was family — gentle, deeply special, and impossible to replace. His story continues to remind us why every safeguard matters, why every different life deserves care, and why the softest souls often leave the deepest hoofprints.
