Casper

Casper was one of the most unforgettable characters to ever call our sanctuary home. He arrived at just eight weeks old, originally brought in to be a companion for Phoebe, and quickly lived up to the name he had been given before his arrival — Casper, the “friendliest goat” at the farm. From the beginning, he loved attention, loved meeting new people, and made it very clear he was born to be the center of everything.

As he grew, Casper spent time in the Bachelor Pad, becoming a wonderful friend to Woody before eventually graduating to the main goat pen with the bigger goats. There, his full personality truly exploded. He became the sanctuary’s wild child, resident hornball, professional goat model, and full-time mischief manager — always looking for trouble, always making dramatic faces, and always completely obsessed with Millie.

In May 2026, just weeks before his five-year sanctuary anniversary, Casper suddenly became critically ill with severe neurological symptoms. Despite emergency veterinary care and everything possible being done to save him, his condition worsened, and he was lovingly helped to pass peacefully before he could suffer further.

Casper was goofy, stubborn, beautiful, wildly confident, and impossible to ignore. He left behind big hoofprints, endless memories, and the kind of presence that changes a sanctuary forever.
