Meet Rhea

Rhea came to us all the way from central New York. She had a very difficult start to life suffering from frostbite and an attack from rats at just a day old. Thankfully she received immediate help from some amazing rescuers in New York. It took almost three months of collaboration to get her stable enough to make the 12-hour trip.

We watched sweet Rhea grow from the time she was initially rescued at 2 days old. She has overcome so much and will eventually get orthopedic braces to help support her damaged legs. She had injuries to both back legs and her tail. Rhea definitely brought her New York attitude with her though as she is one of our sassiest residents.
