Meet Monkey

Monkey came to us at 16 months old. He had suffered a severe degloving injury at the farm he lived at. After suffering this injury his owners reached out for help after they were told the only options were to amputate the rest of the leg, send him to a sell barn (auction) or euthanize. Fortunately, we were able to raise the funds to get Monkey his surgery and provide him a forever home.

Monkey came to us our sanctuary the day after his amputation. We immediately learned so much about Monkey. He was indeed smart, gentle, and handsome as his previous owners stated. He was also so patient, understanding, and a true guardian. Even as he was healing from surgery, he would walk throughout the sanctuary checking on the other residents. He loves everyone that he meets.
