Stanley
Stanley was a gentle Saanen goat whose calm, loving nature helped heal hearts at Butterfly Valley Rescue & Sanctuary. He arrived as a two-week-old bottle baby after being orphaned when his mother was sold from a dairy farm. Coming to the sanctuary shortly after the heartbreaking loss of another beloved resident, Stanley became a symbol of hope, reminding everyone that opening your heart again after loss is always worth the risk.
Known as one of the sweetest goats the sanctuary has ever cared for, Stanley loved cuddles, quiet companionship, and brought a sense of peace wherever he went. As he grew from a tiny bottle baby into a handsome young goat, his affectionate personality and gentle spirit touched everyone who met him, perfectly embodying the "gentle giant" reputation of his Saanen breed.
Although Stanley's life was tragically cut short after an unexpected illness, his impact will never fade. He taught us that love is always worth choosing, even when goodbye is inevitable. His kindness, quiet strength, and unwavering trust continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
