Meet Eve

Our adorable newest porcine rescue Eve came to us at 6 days old after a trauma filled start to life. Eve was born on Christmas Eve on a farm in West Virginia where the owners didn't even know her mother was pregnant. When she gave birth, she was left in the pen with all the other pigs. At 3 days old another pig attacked all of Eve's littermates and Eve was the only survivor after hiding under a water trough.

An amazing volunteer helped make the four-hour transport of Eve possible to get her to us. This tiny little piglet quickly began to see her wounds, both physical and emotional, heal upon her arrival. She quickly realized she was in a safe space and as she healed her fear and distrust turned into love. She became one of the best cuddlers we've ever had. Eve eventually traded in her plush piggy pod inside with the hoomans and is now leaving a dream life for a pig soaking up the sun outdoors.
